1998 Seadoo GSX Limited stator acting up

Hi guys, first post on this forum.

I have a 98 GSX and replaced the stator last year because it was corroded and had some water damage.

As soon as I replaced it, it started right up and had no issues for the first lake trip. After that, I would be able to start it up without any problems, but as the day went on, it was not turning over at all. Every time this happens, I would have to pop the seat open and unplug the plug that goes into the stator, and plug it back in. This would almost always fix it. I have no idea what went wrong in the installation or wherever.

I would take the plug apart and make sure everything is clean and put a light coat of dielectric grease on it.

did this help you by any chance? I have similar issues.. how are you unplugging the stator without taking off the cooling exhaust (black pipe)? You must have tiny hands..
