I was out on Lake Erie it was running fine and now is making a loud ticking sound when you push the throttle any ideas

Could be an infinite number of things, lets try to narrow it down. As racerxxx says, a video will help with the tick noise. Do you know where the tick is coming from? (front, top , rear of engine, pump, etc...)

Edit:
I wonder if you spin it by hand you will still hear or feel it?
Any work done on it recently?

your town is in Ontario or Wisconsin...both a trek from Erie. I guess your on a trip right now.

I'm pretty new to seadoo's but I think that sounds like an electrical arc. It's to hard to guess where it is coming from, but I think the noise is coming from the engine. More throttle probably gives more electrical power to jump a gap creating an arc.

Are you able to pinpoint the location of sound? Ie: spark plugs, front of engine, rear of engine in electrical box?
Keep in mind, you have arcing voltage you are trying to find...mind your digits.

I would also check the spark plug connectors for any sign of arcing inside.

It may not be electrical, maybe the piston is hitting the bottom of the spark plug. Try to find the location of the noise. Keep in mind to not run it out of water for too long as you can wear your carbon/needle ring.

Someone with more experience can probably direct you better.

It sounds to me that it is only running on one cylinder. Pull the plugs and inspect.. That should at least identify which cylinder and/or ignition wire to focus on.
