1997 starter bracket

Hello! I just bought a new starter from pro torque it didn't come with rear bracket insta it on my 1996 gtx and the rear bracket will not line up.. seem like the rear two stub where bracket meet up is not the same as the one I pull off.. is there a way I could take apart the starter and turn it so it line up correctly..thanks in advance

I'd return that starter and buy a rebuild kit for your OEM starter. The aftermarket starters are junk.

The things is the starter I took off is a ebay starter the one I bought believe to be oem I paid 160 for it so I figured its oem but who knows...description said oem what a pain

Not sure if this is the same issue but I had to blow torch slot holes in order to put on my new starter.

Because it's aftermarket. The end caps are different.
