Ok, so the line is there but instead of going to the rear mount it goes to a fitting on the exhaust pipe. Anyone know why it would be like this? I can't imagine this was a performance mod. The line is the black one that parallels the positive battery cable and runs into the exhaust pipe.
That's baffling, just to be clear, the small 1/4" line coming off the top of the motor is going to the rear most exhaust pipe flange fitting? Normally on the 787 engine this rear most fitting is the 5/16" line coming off the bottom of the cylinders on the back side, it's a drain. You may need a small mirror to verify, or reach back there and feel for it, so what is connected on this T fitting coming off the bottom of cylinders and where is it going? It'll still run with it plugged, just likely a little hotter than it needs to be.
Thanks GGuillot, I went hunting were you mentioned and used the diagram from gazzaskirepair and I found the pipe. It does not look too good, looks like I am taking the exhaust off to fix this.
I have no idea what the previous owner was thinking. When I picked up this unit they said it had electrical problems but it just turned out they had everything plugged in wrong or not at all. Now there is just weird stuff like this.
