I have a 1997 Speedster with twin 85 hp motors and the port motor will begin surging back to about 3800 RPM when you try to go above 5500RPM. As you accelerate out of the hole it will briefly go to about 6200 RPM then start surging back to 3800 RPM. It will then go back up to 5500 RPM and surge back and forth between 5500 and 3800 RPM. I have cleaned all of the fuel filters and cleaned the filter inside of the carb then thouroghly cleaned the carb with carb cleaner. Does anyone have any suggestions what causes this and how to repair it? Thanks
