Both engines bogged down at approx 3200 rpms, max speed about 15 mph.
Per Timmyboy76/Dr. Honda:

1. The Neutral switch tested good.

2. Adjusted both carbs to 1 1/4 (low) 0 (high), saw no change.

However, while testing the boat in the water I inadvertantly got the engines to run correctly at higher RPM by having passenger open the Engine compartment door to take a look inside. When engine compt door is closed, the problems re-occur. Verified this several times. Air flow or temp problem

Appreciate any insight.

CO...?

The reason for the engine to run well with the engine compartment hatch open only leads to one thing; an exhaust leak. If there is an exhaust leak, carbon monoxide floods the engine compartment, displacing the oxygen in the air. When this happens, the engine has no way to combust the fuel.

Find the exhaust leak and you'll solve your problem........

Seadoosnipe - Appreciate the info, advice, and other info you have links to. I'll keep you posted once I find the leak.

Seadoosnipe - You were right on:hurray: Readjusted/Tightened clamps holding on rubber sleaves surrounding exhaust - boat now runs great. Appreciate all your help!!!
