Hi new to the forum and these boats. (so forgive some of my terminology) figured I'd keep my issues to one thread.
1) drivers side motor sensor between spark plugs broke off. Coolant temp? Or what is this?
2) motors start right up. But after sitting for few weeks the drivers side motor smokes white on startup and goes away after running few minutes. Hopefully just burning off some residual oil? Compression good and equal all cyl.
3) on the lake, drivers motor seems to go into neutral sometimes. Rpms go way up but doesnt seem to propel the boat. For instance if I hit both throttles, the pass motor goes to 4k rpm and drivers goes to 6k+. Boat won't plane, if I back off drivers to 3500-4000 it seems to 'catch' and boat planes and takes off. But that motor will rev up almost anytime I slow down and speed back up. It just reminds me of accrlerating a car and putting it in nuetral while keeping on the throttle.
4) on the drivers side, between back of engine and back of boat there's a rubber boot on the driveshaft under the little cover. That boot is torn and water comes in from that area (motor not running)
5) fuel gauge not working (I read a few posts on this)

Any help appreciated.

1. Yes this is your temp sensor, you could probably order it from parts link at top/ebay etc.
2. mine do this too after sitting, if it gets worse you may have problem but I wouldn't worry about it too much just yet.
3. Check your wear ring gap, and impeller blades. Sounds like cavitation
4. You'll want to replace this and fill with grease (there's a grease gun nipple on it). Again Parts link/ebay/BRP dealer ETC
5. Keep reading posts you'l prolly find an answer if sending unit hasn't failed.

hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll search for how to check wear ring and impeller posts etc. And any info on that boot replacement. Would water normally come in that area? But the boot keeps it from actually getting in the bilge?
