Hey all!

Curious on thoughts for where I should start. This 97 XP will not beep with the key is placed on the post. But, the trim gauge will move, and only the trim gauge. The trim itself will do nothing and the start button will do nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

Does your fuel gauge and trim gauge power up when you place dess key on post? If so, your beeper/buzzer may be bad. They go bad at this skis age. Check all fuses. Is there any sound when you press start? Clicking? How's the battery?

Pull the connectors off the mpem and look for corrosion. Seadoo placed it in a marvelous spot right up front in the nose of the ski where every drop of liquid in the hull ends up while riding. I can almost guarantee you have corrosion on the mpem itself and the connectors that need to be cleaned and reassembled. Pay close attention to the main ground pins as once those corrode there's no longer a good ground for the mpem or anything else.
Dess post connections are on connector 1 pins 1-7, 1-8, 1-15 and main ground points are connector 2 pin 24. I had corrosion on mine and had to tend to it before my skis showed any signs of life.

I did check all fuses. All good there. The trim gauge is the only activity I see when the key is put on. If I hit the trim, I do hear a click towards the rear of the boat, but that's all. VTS Module and Motor were just replaced. Side note... I do not get any beeps when I put the key on either. The battery shows 12.6 volts when I checked with the multimeter.
