Yep the seal on pto side was gone and one bearing was gone. The rest of the bearings were on their way out. Ordered a new crank from EWS. Will keep CV Tech in mind if a friend needs one.

Rebuilt the engine recently and installed it in the seadoo.
Can't get it fired up, it turns beautifully but just doesn't start.
Did everything by the manual.
Can ignition timing be an issue here or the magneto?

If you did everything by the manual you'd know that the magneto/timing has a factory mark to set it by. You can check with a timing light but if you set it at the factory mark it will be right on. You seem to leave out a lot of info. There's a lot more to check out before going to timing. Is there spark? Are the plugs wet? Then go from there.

Spark is good. Checked it already. The rotary valve was double checked before final assembly. The manual says if crankshaft is changed. Ignition timing needs to be changed.

Just because you have a good spark doesn't mean the engine is time correctly. Wet plug mean the engine is getting too much gas. Dry the plus and use compress air to dry the cylinder and see if she starts.

She finally started. Got the rotary valve timing wrong, Oops.
Fixed it, ready for the season.
Thanks everyone for the much appreciated help.
