I am thinking of buying a seadoo challenger 1997 2 stroke single engine 110hp.
The current owner and i took it out today and it worked great.
When we were coming back in he turned off the boat and removed the cap key.
A few minutes later he put back the key. We heard the beeps but when he tried to start the engine all we heard were clicks coming from the engine compartment.
he claims that it was a water level sensor and that all we needed to do is push the reset button and it would work perfectly.
He claims that because we only went out for 10 minutes, and the fact that he removed the button key, the boat wont start because it senses that the water level is not high enough.
Unfortunately he claimed that his brother knew where the reset button was and he did not and therefore the engine would not start.
We put it on the trailer and took it back to his place and about a half hour later still the same thing. Boat wont start, just clicks.
The boat was not in gear. This was not the issue.
Can anyone help me??????
