I just bought a 1997 Seadoo Challenger 1800 and want to put in new speakers. What can I use to cut the speaker hole and can I Just use screws to hold them in? Next any recommendation on where I put the speakers? Thanks
I dont know that particular boat, but you can probably find plenty of stuff in the modify section. Lots of people on here have dome some stereo upgrades. As for the holes, for most 6.5" speakers, a 5" hole saw is perfect. You can buy a hole saw kit from harbor freight for like 8 bucks.
Make sure to use a corded drill. A cordless will die in no time. As for mounting them, most decent marine speakers come with stainless screws. I pre drill a small hole first.
