1997 gtx-urgent piston question

I just took my cylinders to a shop to have honned and bored out to match. I had the pto side piston go out on me so I ordered the Oversized pistons w/rings (82.14mm). The shop that I took everythng to was needing me to find out what kind of clearence should be allowed for the piston when borring and how far up from the bottom of the piston. Can anyone please help me with this issue?

depends on what kind of pistons you are useing


.0045-.0050 is rule of thumb, but they change alittle bit for diffrent piston makers

ring end gap should be .010-.018

Not exactly sure who makes the piston but they were ordered from sea doo parts nation.com. I thought it was the OEM.

you should be fine with those clearances then, forged pistons need alittle more
