Hi guys,

This is my first post and first Seadoo. I have included a short video, but here is what I have done first;

1. Removed plugs and inspected cylinders with a bore scope.
2. Cut the starter switch to bypass, jumping wires
3. Put 2-stroke oil in cylinders to lube

I am familiar with Kawasaaki's 650 and Yamaha's 701 engines, to give you a little background on my abilities. Here is what is happening I fully charged the battery to 12.9 volts, I jumped the starter wires and got a clunk, I am sure I just need to lube the cylinders and work back and forth the crank. How do you move the crank? I fail to see any holes to grab and move manually; the starter is trying to engage. The ski did run in 2020, and I get the two beeps when I put the key in.

Ok, here is the video! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your input so I removed the front cover of PTO and freed up the pistons now when I put my key in I get the lights but no beep, could it be the wire harness that was attached to PTO cover needs to be grounded cause it was attached to the cover. Before when I jumped wires to starter it engaged but sound of clunk.

So when you say you freed up the pistons, were they stuck before? Or could you roll the engine over by hand easily with the spark plugs out? You had the 2 beeps, and now you don’t , did you happen to try boosting the Seadoo from a vehicle or jumper pack? I’m not aware of any wires being attached to the plastic PTO cover.

You pulled the MAG (magento) cover on the front of the engine, that is the wrong end of the engine. Burt was talking about the plastic cover on the rear of the engine where the driveshaft attaches, that is the PTO or Power Take Off he was talking about.

Correct could not turn over by hand used a 30mm on flywheel to loosen up.

I did not use a booster box battery was at 12.9v.

The oil light comes on then goes out, prior I would here two beeps, the wire harness disconnects from stator plug but it has a ground wire too.

Let me know your thoughts.

If the engine won't turn over by hand with the sparkplugs out then your have a mechanical issue and the electrical issues are secondary.
