Had this machine for 12 years with no problems. Went to get on it last week end and all I was gettimg was a "click" from the starter. If I pull the plugs and try it, it rolls over fine. Pulled the starter and had it checked, the guy said it was like brandnew, no problems there. Checked the fuses and all was good. Battery is brandnew and holds a charge but I havn't had it load tested yet. Solenoid is working fine and making good contact. Any advice or anyone had the same issues. I was told the ground is the most commen culprit but it is fine and tests perfect with the multimetre. Think it over and let me know.

sounds like a load test would find your problem. I had the same issue with my gsx and i needed a new batt. What kind of battery do you have in it sometimes the cheap walmart ones wont work for a ski

Yep... what he said.

Over the years I've see an bunch of bad batteries "Out of the box."

The easy way to check it is to put a volt meter on the battery, and give it a crank. A good battery will hold over 11.5 volts when cranking... and if it can hold at least 10.6 volts... it should start.

On last thing. With the plugs out... remove the gray cover behind the engine. You should be able to turn the PTO relativity easy. If it's tight... the bearings in the pump may be rusting up.
