1997 GSI Compression spec

What is the specification for compression on a 1997 GSI 717 motor. I'm getting 90 lb max and I am sure that is too low. Before I get too far in the weeds chasing down a higher speed ignition or fuel problem I suppose I should qualify the motor itself is sound.

90psi is probably too low, I get 140psi on my 717

I agree. Just wonder what OEM spec is. I cannot find this in the Seadoo manual anywhere(?). Thanks

Spec is 150 psi is perfect, at 120 psi it’s done and typically won’t start in the water. 90 psi if correct is junk.

Always double check with a second tester and don’t trust the ones from harbor freight.
