I noticed some cavitation issues as well the boat can not go over a couple mph with just a few weeds in the intake.front shot.jpgwhole front.jpgback lite.jpgback lit 2.jpgwhole front 2.jpg

I attached some pics, what do you guys think about the condition of my wear ring and impeller?

From what I can see your wear ring and impeller look fine. I don't think that's your problem, the next place to look would be the carbon ring.

How much is just a few weeds? Are they stuck in the intake or impeller?

Oh a bit of personal advice, don't give up your day job to become a professional photographer.

I was hoping by back-lighting the impeller, I would be able to show the gap there.
The weeds mostly seem to get stuck at the intake grate. Is there a way to check the carbon ring?

You know I was just kidding about the photography.

I'm not convinced that you have a problem, we don't have a problem with weeds, however earlier this year I thought I had a problem with cavitation, turned out it was a piece of a plastic ice bag wrapped around the drive shaft, it doesn't take much.

Here's something I learned from Dr Honda, I've never tried it by I will pass it along. Pull the rubber bellows back exposing the carbon ring. Apply a blob of waterproof grease on the carbon, it this temporarily fixes the problem you need a new carbon ring.

Thanks for the info guys, I will try putting grease on the fitting. I hope we will still have some nice days to try it.
