1997 Challenger 1800 - Cracked Oil Tank

Have a nice crack in the oil resevoir for my boat. Oil has been slowly leaking into the bilge.

2 Questions:

1)How difficult is it for me to replace on my own? What's involved.
2)I have a lot of gas smell from bilge...does it make sense that the oil would be the cause...not gas?

The tank is a easy replacement. Just be sure not to tip the oil line down so as to allow bubbles into the line. The bottom grommet should be replaced too since your changing the tank.
Check around for a fuel leak, oil doesn't smell like fuel.

Glad to hear this is not a major operation...it looks like it shouldn't be too bad. So the fact that I have a lot of fuel-like odor coming out sounds like a separate issue?
