I have a 1996 xp. It comes out of the hole like it is a banshee but then bogs down. I have # 2 cylinder spark plug wire that will work on either cylinder 1 or 2 but spark plug wire from cylinder 1 doesn't work on either cylinder. I have checked it out by switching spark plugs but the same issue applies. I do think that the spark plug wire 1 does work occasionaly since if I wait a few minutes and hit the gas then it takes off like both cylinders are firing then it bogs down like only cylinder 2 works. I have trimmed back the spark plug wire 1" and put the boot back on but that didn't do anything. I also pulled off the red wire from the rectifer and that didn't help either. Do I need a new coil or electronic unit? Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Buck

You could try epoxying in another *plug wire into your Pt #278000383 ignition coil.
