I was replacing the grey fuel lines in one of my 1996 XP's and afterwards when I started it, it was revving like crazy. Not sure what happened,(overheated maybe, cause it took a few seconds to get the water hooked up) but now it won't turn over.. The compression in the front cylinder has dropped from 150 to 30, rear is 150. With no plugs in, the engine turns over just fine, with the rear plug in, it turns over just fine, with the front plug in it won't turn over? Any ideas on what may have happened. I assume I need a top end rebuild, can this be done without removing the engine? Since it's turning over is a gasket blown? I'm pretty new to all of this so I apologize if my questions are naive, you have to start learning somewhere.

Thanks for the response. I've pulled the carbs off and rebuilt them and reinstalled. I've pulled the head and added some Marvel mystery oil to hopefully free the, probable, ring that is hung up in the piston. If this doesn't work I'll be doing a top end rebuild in the ski.
