1996 SPX Carbs

So after talking with a forum member I go out and check the carbs on the different skis I am working on. The 96 SPX has a 38mm and a 40mm carb. What's up with that ?? Looks stock to me but sure don't make any sense. 40mm is on the PTO side. Looks like I'm gonna need carb to complete this project ... or am I wrong?

They are a taper bore carb so make sure you are measuring in the same spot. But if they are different that’s wrong.

I guess I need to find another 38mm carb then. I have some 40mm's off at 787 but I don't want to get into modifying.
