1996 Speedster pump problem

I pulled the jet pump on my single engine speedster & replaced the ware ring, it seemed to help the performance a little bit but did not cure the problem. There is still alot of slippage in the pump, do you think I got a bad were ring or I need to replace the stainless steel impeller. would the impeller were down that much?

did you measure the clearance between the impeller and wear ring?

Yes I did & its still pretty sloppy, I am just wondering could the impeller be worn that much or they sold me the wrong wear ring at the seadoo dealer. I do know it was an OEM part.
