ive got a 1996 seadoo xp 800,aquired it after it sat about 3 years, replaced the vts,got everything workig and dry started it a couple times.puy fresh oil and gas in it. it ran super about three or for times and the last time i carried it out iy ran about 20 minutes or so and then it would bogg down to alittle over an idle and every now and then a spert of power, thought maybe it was over heating but motor didnt feel hot and would let it for about 30 kinutes and would still do the same thing, sounds like a fuel problrm any thoughts would be appreciated thanks

have you looked into checking the fuel filter in the carberator i checked mine and i had a little dirt in it and it helped to clean it out. another thing you can try to put higher octane fuel and see if it helps burn it off you might have gotten a bad batch of fuel.

umm not really you'l have yto remove the black plastic a box by sliding the tabs then you'll need a allen/hex head to remove the flame arestor and other part of box next you want a phillips screw driver and where you see the cables going into the bracket you'll want to remove the screws around that you can leave the fuel lines attached its in three parts the first part is your cable hold the second is a plate for the back of carb about 14mm thick and then you'll have the spot where the flitle sits you'll need a par of tweezers to remove it and just give it a good cleaning if anything is in there. when you go to reassemble be careful not to rip any of the gaskets or seals becuase if you do you'll need to replace them. it took me about an hour to get mine out clean and put back in.
