hey guys
i was given a 1996 seadoo sportster boat that has not been run in about 3 years and has been sitting outside i am just gonna clean it up i was wondering what kind of information i might need to know as far as pre start up procedures go .i dont really want to take it in to a shop to have them do it as that could be very costly any tips would be great on where to start thanks in advance

hey Marc...cool boat, had few of them. I'd start w/ remove'n the plugs, and spray PB-Blaster in there, let sit up and then, remove grey shield and turn pto. If she turns, then proceed to charg'n/getn battery. With that, syphon out old gas, install new along w/ shot of oil with it, remove the airbox, and clean the arrestor screen, from here, get new plugs gapped at .020, cut 1/4in of wire off the boot sides's of the plug wire to expose new clean contact, and from there, with cleaning the landyard post, should be good to go, to fire-ur-up....good luck
