I don't know if losing RPM's is the best description. It all started last year when plaining out became more difficult when I was pulling a heaver person tubing. This spring I replaced impeller and wear ring (old one was nearly gone). This of course helped right away but didn't solve problem entirely. As time has gone by it is having more difficulty plainning out with either a number of people on board or while pulling a tuber. New wear ring looks great. The boat starts great and once it gets plained out runs great at top speed. It just seems to be losing power since the RPS's to not go up with the throttle fully open. It struggles for quite a long time at about 55 hundred RPM's. I've checked the fuel filter along with the air intake. Both were fine. Where should I go from here?

Having same problem, identical boat but a 97.

Done the exact same thing you have done wear ring etc still no good.

Let me know if you come across anything.

I will let you know if I figure anything out. I'm thinking about digging into the carburetors next since I have a severe lack of knowledge with anything electrical.

i have a 2010 challenger 255 with 8 hours on it and is having the same problem. I took it to the dealer because it's still under warranty and they cant figure out the problem. None of my warning lights or beeps are indicating a problem. Also when they hooked it up to the diagnostic macine the read out came back great on all systems.. But i'm having exact same problem boat would get up to 7800 rpms and do around 55mph now it will only get up to 5500rpms and 30mph. As soon as they figure it out or get it fixed i'll post it. Maybe it will help you fellas too.

Just got word from seadoo shop.. Either the Supercharger is bad or the clutch is bad. Thats why it wont go past 5500 rpms or 30mph.. Fortunatly mine is still covered under the warranty since it's only 16days old.. Sucks it will take about 7-10 business days to get fixed. Hopefully your guys problems wont be as bad..
