1996 sea doo spx

My 1996 sea doo spx is bogging down at top speed and out of the hole but fine just cruising around. Any idea what it could be or what I could do to fix it. Thanks

Try bye passing the fuel selector switch,fit a tee on the 3 lines...this was the fix on my 1995 SPX

No need for a tee, just connect a hose from the strainer to the carb.

Mine just died while running,could the Rectifier be bad here?she will start up again and run than die again

THe rectifier will typically cause a misfire like it is hitting the rev limiter, not kill the engine.

The battery voltage with engine off reads 12.5 volts...with the engine running 5000rpm...the battery voltage reads 12.5 volts.I was thinking the voltage reading should be 14.5 volts?

It should be at least 13.5 with the engine at 5,000.

I will order a new rectifier and see what happens...the ski did pop on take off.miss fire type effect
