1996 GTX 787 locked up

was out yesterday and ran great for about a hour and then just locked up so i pulled off the cyilnder head and the domes are all gummy black any ideas thanks

pull the pump, then rotoate pto

then what why all the sticky black on the domes

pulled the pump motor still locked up

ended up being the starter jammed up in the fly wheel but is the sticky oil in the dome normal thanks
