1996 GTS 5817 — where should this water tubing connect?

I was changing my starter and as I pulled it out, I inadvertently also pulled along some clear (dirty) tubing with it and I’m afraid I unhooked it from something. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be attached to something? It appears it just sits loose at the lowest part of the hull under the engine (judging by the dirty/oiliness of the end). Is this supposed to connect to something? Or just hang loose under the engine? The second photo shows the other end of the tube where it connects near the back end. Any ideas?

So if I have an AGM Battery this is nothing to be concerned with then?
