Well, I've done it again! I have a soft spot for a Sea Doo left out in the Grass to DIE.

So of course I went on recuse mission, and scored ($50) a 1995 Sea Doo XP. I found it in really rough shape.....but when I got it back to my garage....pulled off the seat.....it is 100% intact, just dropped a battery in and it's turning over , with spark on both cylinders and has good compression on both cylinders...that was all in the last hour...

The first thing I ran into was a Pair (Purple & White) coming from the Control Module with a connector that must go somewhere. I have looked at the manual, but there's no label for it.

Any idea where it goes>>>>?

Thank You.......as always

Purple with a white tracer is usually +12v., it could be the +12v. for the gauges.

Thank You, I just checked, and all the gauges are connected. this wire was laying by the battery tray, so I guess could connect any where, but I can't seem to find out where

Those purple and white wires lead to an aftermarket part that is worth more then you paid for the ski. It is a rev limiter/water control module that was made by Micro Touch and operates water injection on a Factory Pipe. That is the name of a performance exhaust company, not OEM. Your ski likely has other mods. Please post pics

Well that's good news, Thank You! It all looks pretty basic, I have the 96 as well and going off that. Just has more of an elaborate gauge then my 96' with Temp / Batt / Oil / Fuel and RPM....

Got it cranking over, now noticed spark in only the aft cylinder, no spark on the front cylinder. Any ideas on that one?

I will post pics once I take a break on this thing!!!

The same coil fire both wires at the same time. It's good to unscrew the plug boots and clip 1/4" off the wires then screw them back on till they stop turning with a little grease in there.

Went to go pull the boot off, and realize the wire had come loose. Slid it back in and that did it! Firing on all cylinders. Fuel is at the filter, now just have to wait for the battery to charge back up and who know maybe it will fire up! This do take a lot of upkeep, but they really amaze me at how you can bring them back from the dead. Did the same thing on my 96' and after a carb clean it runs like a bat out of hell! Lets hop I have the same luck....fixing it up for my brother - in - law for Christmas....we will see ! Thanks again
