Hey guys,
I was out last weekend on my 1995 XP for the first time this year and it was running fine until suddenly it died after 5min. It didn’t have enough power to turn over again and I concluded that it killed the battery – Before that weekend (in the fall), I have replaced the rectifier and the MPEM.
Yesterday I changed the stator – all these parts are brand new with the exception of the rectifier which I purchased from Nick Grillo a while back at OSD.
Yesterday I started the Seadoo after letting the battery charge for a day on my tender and it started fine. Battery light was still flashing and I put my volt meter on my battery and at 5000rpm I still only get 12.8 volts.
I am wondering if my battery is at fault. I have since purchased a brand new 16CLB Interstate battery but I won't be able to test until I get my exhaust back (had small crack that is being welded).
What am I missing???
