I was told there was some sort of an update that keeps the bolts from breaking. It's something like a think washer. Anyone heard of this? What do you guys think?

I don't know of an update, and I haven't heard of an "issue" with the exh bolts.

If your are having a breakage problem... I would replace all of them with new stainless hardware, and new stainless split lock washers.

Good luck

Thanks, I'm going to run it at it is then! I'm Jonesin' to get to the lake and really try this thing out. It was a blown motor special last august, which I repaired over the winter.

Thanks! I had a 2000 Polaris SLH for 5 years, and have ridden my buddies supercharged seadoo's quite a bit, but haven't ever had one of these boats. This single engine put a smile on my face the first time I test drove it in December in 12 degree weather, but it only made me want a twin, lol!
