1995 Speedster Started and now it wont.

HI Everyone,

finally got to the stage of the engines firing up. both started perfectly yesterday. Stupid me forgot to turn on the fuels taps and both engines stalled shortly after.

Now the battery is flat from Cranking to try and get them started again . With The battery on the Charger now Over night.

Is there a better way than just going the crank over and over. or SHould i drop one to two drops of fuel in under the spark plugs and then Start?

Is there Some thing else i should do?

Well, it seems you've finally got a start but seems like your either having a hard time priming or maybe, your low speed idle isn't open enough.

Next time, after your charged, choke the engine for a few seconds while turning over the motor. Then, if no start, take out both plugs. If they are wet, you may be flooding the engine. If they are dry, you might have a problem with your lever and spring in the carbs.

If they are dry, then yes, take a bit of your gas you have handy for your weed whacker (premixed fuel) and pour about a half teaspoon into each cylinder. If the engine starts and runs well, shut it down. Now, hook it up to water. Start it again. If it's hard starting, then repeat the process of adding a bit of fuel to the cylinders.

If priming through the cylinders works, then you could have a fuel line that is sucking air or even a problem in your pulse line to your pump........really kinda hard to just put a finger on that one..........:cheers:
