The starboard engine starts fine, and idles around 1500, but when I try to accelerate, it either dies, or unless I really baby it, lags around 3000 rpm for about 5-10 seconds, then shoots up to full power (or wherever I have the throttle set). Once it gets there it is fine, and responds to the throttle properly.
This started a few weeks ago, when I was beached for several hours (waves lapping at back of boat). When I left the beach and headed for the dock, it started acting up. When I got to the ramp (5 minutes away) and got it up on the trailer and pulled the plugs, it drained for 15 minutes. I realized that the hull seal behind the rub rail was leaking. When I got it home, I took the covers and filters off down to the carbs and dried everything out & changed the plugs. None if this seems to have fixed the issue.
I cleaned the fuel filters and the carbs yesterday before heading to the lake. I used carb cleaner (sparingly). Still no change. Any ideas?
