Im sure this has happened to someone else but i have read and havent found someone with the same problem as me, i took the ski out to the water over the weekend and when i first unloaded it, it would not rev up, i played with the throttle for about 5 minutes and it started running perfect. Rode it for about 30 minutes and it did the same thing, played with the throttle for a few minutes and she ran great again! it continued to do this throught the day, but the more i rode it would also start dying, i would restart and it would bog and then start running great again. let me know where to start. thanks!

When was the last time the carbs we're gone through? What color are your fuel lines? Don't keep riding it so you don't do any damage, it's not going to fix it's self.

Grey gas lines. Carbs were cleaned 2 years ago

Carbs were cleaned two years ago and it has grey fuel lines

You need to replace those fuel lines they will kill your ski. The ethanol fuel turns the inside of the fuel line into green goo which clogs your carbs and it goes downhill from there. I am fairly new to working on these things but it would be a good idea to clean/rebuild the carbs again. Not saying that is your problem completely but sounds like what my ski did a while back and I had the grey tempo lines too.

Yes. Replace the lines and rebuild the carbs with oem kits. Your going to burn the top end up if you keep running it lean on fuel.

Ok I’ll start with replacing fuel lines and rebuilding carbs. Thanks guys! I will post results once I get it done. Thanks again

Sounds like a possible rectifier

What exactly does the rectifier do?

It converts A/C voltage to DC volts. It is basically part of your charging system. They fail in a few ways. One way is that is allows some of the A/C voltage to leak through it but still charges your battery.

The A/C voltage gets to the MPEM (Brain) and that affects running.

To test this part, simply unplug it. If the issue goes away, that is the issue. Replace it. Keep in mind that while it is unplugged your battery will not be getting a charge.

After I get the carbs cleaned and fuel lines replaced, if that doesn’t fix it I will give this a try. Thanks!

Well I took the carbs off and cleaned them, also replaced the gray fuel lines with black. Luckily for me there was no green goo in any of the lines. And the carbs seemed pretty clean except for the little filters inside. I did replace those. I also cleaned the RAVE valves while I had it in the shop. Sunday I headed to the lake. Unloaded it and the same exact issue accrued. EXCEPT, on my way back to shore (probably 60ft from shore) I hit a wave and it exploded! Literally! It was a loud boom blew me and the seat off and burned my legs pretty good. It did not crack the hull or anything else just me and the seat. I have no idea what the he!! Caused that but she’s for sale! I have since done some research and have figured out they had a recall for the gas tank but honestly it’s not worth it to me. After that I had it pulled to shore loaded it on the trailer and haven’t looked at it since.
