Hello i own a 1995 Sea doo SPX and it has run perfect till this year , last year at put up for end of season no problems , it is totally stock no mods

this year getting it out for the 1st time and when it started oil starts pouring out the exhaust , i mean a solid stream of oil , at 1st i thought maybe it was some left over build up from sitting over the winter , but 3 starts and it just pours a solid stream out the exhaust onto the floor , it smokes something fierce too , never had either of these problems before

i did check the oil pump adjustment to be sure it was still in sync with the throttle and the timing lines line up perfectly so that has not changed

any ideas anyone? , is the oil pump itself bad?

any help is greatly appreciated if you have seen this problem before

oops sorry this is in wrong section , won't let me delete it , oh well

You lost a seal in the rotary valve, or the center of the crankshaft. You can either do a rebuild on the engine, and replace them... or run it, and hope they seal up a little.

yeah thats what im finding out , sounds like a major job , ugh , 15 year old hoses and connections and seals , im betting it only gets worse once i get in there

thx for the info
