Its running just fine. I repaired all the oil leaks like this thread described. I never hooked the D/I back up , just kept premixing. I changed all the clear oil tubing , fuel lines , cleaned carbs , pulled port exhaust manifold and regasketed under the clamp end.
We have had a couple really good days out and a few bad days out. It seems that when I repair one problem , a new one creeps up . The exhaust started blowing into the engine compartment once the engines were running good enough for long trips , so it started loading up and was really difficult to restart. Once I had the carbs out , i realized they had been freshly rebuilt but were plugged with fuel line crap that had come from the line change or before. I suppose at some point a logical sequence of repairs must be listed someplace to help out the next guy . 2 more weeks of summer for us here , and then its going on Craigslist....
