Hi I just purchased a 1995 Seadoo GTS. When I purchased the ski the previous owner said the engine compartment got a little bit flooded with water. When I go to press and hold the start button a continuous single clunk sound happens. The longer I hold it it just keeps clunking. I opened the master box and noticed a fuse was blown so I replaced it. When I hold the power button I get no spark. Is the loud clunk the sound of the starter or what? I’m trying to get the ski going by summer and hope I am able too. I was also thinking it could possibly be the coil pack. Any information or help will be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like your engine is locked up, hope you didn't pay much for a ski that doesn't run.

Pull the plastic cover off of the rear engine flywheel at the back of the engine, should be gray plastic. Remove the spark plugs and see if you can turn the engine over by hand. Report back.

"a little bit flooded with water" ?? as opposed to flooded with beer???? ....yeah, like a lit bit pregnant....hahaha.

As Miki stated -> hope you didn't pay much.....OLD skis are a labor of love (and hate).

OK enough with the frivolity:

1) pull the spark plugs...try to start it...does the starter kick over the flywheel and does it still clunk...you can put straws down the spark holes to see if the pistons are jumping
2) if it is still clunking but the straws are moving......is the impeller/pump assembly unit moving freely?

MAN....never buy a NON-running old (26 YO ski) two stroker......unless you have time, money & patience.

Agreed, pull the plugs and turn it over,,,see if water comes spurting out.,,and do miki's move,,,remove pto cover and see if crank rotates freely.
