1994 seadoo speedster smokes like crazy when first starting up

The right engine runs great, and starts up right away. The left eninge need a lot of throttling and like 4 tries until it starts out on very low rpm.
When I first start the boat up, there comes a whole bunch of smoke out underneath the boat, which it always smoked before, but nothing like now. (white smoke) when I drive it out on the lake and pick up speed the smoke goes away and it runs fine. What could be wrong with it, can i still drive it?

Also I think I need to adjust the idle of the one engine, I read that you can do that in the water? I would need really good instruction how I do that, I have never done something like that before....

i think oil is leaking into the crankcase. it should burn out like it did but will prob. continue to happen from time to time. especially when it sits. i would look at a carb rebuilt, etc. start there. as for the idle, http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=20223
