1994 GTX Running Rich, Bogging

I have a 1994 GTX that I bought a few years ago with a piston with a hole in it. Last year I replaced the pistons and rings and fuel line and cleaned the carbs. I finally got it all back together and am running 40:1 pre-mix with the injection system. The engine starts easily and idles perfectly. When the throttle gets above about 10-25% it runs very rich. It spits fuel out of the carbs and sounds like it is just bogging down. It does rev up, but it sputters. It even back fired a couple of time. I double checked the rotary valve and that was fine. I set all of the carb settings to factory. What do you think it could be? Carb setting issues? Thanks.

If it was the carbs did use completely remove and clean ea jet, remove N/S, replace diaphragm with the silver or red point?? Spitting out fuel it's clogged I would think.

Did you check your plugs? Are they new?

have you check your rave valves??

When I cleaned the carbs, I completely disassembled them using very detailed instructions from this site. I did not replace any parts at that time. Mine does not have Rave Valves. Both of the carbs appear to be behaving the same way. If one was doing it, I could see a clog being the issue, but both? Both spark plugs are new and gapped correctly. I tried starting it with one spark plug removed and it runs the same way on each spark plug (it does not appear to be limited to 1 cylinder). More information: It only has about 2 gallons of gas in it and it is on a trailer, not the water.

Put more fuel in it.... and you can't tell anything until you get a load on the engine. Go put it in the water and see what it does.
