I’ve repaired similar crack but they weren’t close to the jet pump like yours
I’m not sure how it even cracked there but it is cracked going to have to fix it I just went out and bought over $100+ in fiberglass materials and paint to fix this machine. And get back on the water it’s been out of commission since 2002

Do you have any pictures or know anyone that’s did similar repairs
I don’t have pictures of the process but I can take a picture of the finished product. I just ground it out into a V, then layered strips of fiberglass mat soaked in resin, a little bigger pieces each time till it was built up relatively flush with the rest

Well I cleaned it up some today first wash it has had since 2004 engine is also not locked up but I still went ahead and filled the clyinders with a wd40 , fogging oil ,brake fluid and turned the crank and it turned over and shot oil up in the air so that’s good it’s not locked up i also don’t have a trailer for it yet so bare with me going to start the fiberglass repairing this weekend.

Those are just spider cracks on the back. I would patch with some sea goin' epoxy. The nose is going to be a pain. If it was me and the price you paid I would just use sea goin' epoxy and some white appliance epoxy rattle can and ride it. You can also use Marine- Tex instead of Sea Goin'.

I’m going to be doing the fiberglass work this weekend on the front and can I just sand and reapply gel coat on the rear I looked on the inside and there is no cracks in the fiberglass on that part it’s just the outside gel coat like you said but hopefully get this thing back on the water soon as possible i just ordered a pile of parts for it rebuild kit for the carbs and also a wear ring 140mm and going to be repainting all the engine bay parts and jet pump and engine I also ordered a top end gasket kit goijg to be compression testing it this weekend then if it’s below 140 going to be tearing it down for a new top end

Gelcoat is a pain and time consuming to do it correctly. I wouldn't bother with the pump area.
140 compression is still fine.
By "doing a top end" on these it isn't just new pistons and rings. You have to have the cylinders bored larger and oversized pistons and rings installed.

Got some more done on the gtx last night cleaned and degreased the inside of the hull it was full of oil and leaves forgot to take a before picture but I included a picture of a bag of oil soaked leaves I’m sure most of you know what a hull full of oil look It was so horrible but going to be doingfiberglass work today I prepped everything last. And a bunch of parts showed up yesterday as well

I wish you the best of luck, you took out the entire upper structure of the nose. In my opinion you ground out way too much but what is done is done.
You are going to have to get epoxy resin, not polyester and start your layup from the inside, this is going to repair the structural rigidity. Start with small pieces with each one getting larger and larger. The glass you lay on the outside of the hull will just be cosmetic.

I’ve already started laying fiberglass on the inside but I was told on how to fix it was to grind out all the cracked fiberglass till it was solid around entire area and if left any cracked fiberglass it would break again I’m just going to keep filling till it’s done but I have 2 layers rn and I’m laying more rn

If you ever do this again you are going to want to use epoxy resin and not polyester. Also woven fiberglass clot, not fiberglass mat.
But at this point do the best you can. Do not use bondo filler for final surfacing.

Should I just reinforce the inside with the mat

I honestly just watched a YouTube video on someone else repairing a jet ski and used all the same stuff I’ve never did this kind of work before I’m a ase certified mechanic but never did fiberglass work before so this is all new to me but I gave it a shot it seams pretty solid so far I’ve used a lot more on the inside since last night Ile have to get more pictures I’ve just been layering it as much as I can

Sheee man!!! You got it looking great !! You da fiberglass guy!! :D I have a lot of parts over here and if I can help out let me know.
