I have a 1993 gtx 657x, I have a 1995 gtx.
My 95, gtx, starts, runs decent, issue, if I shut off in water, don't wanna restart.
Ordered a compression tester and a rpm reader.
Picked up 1993, gtx, I see spark plugs are bigger, wondering if engine cylinder will work on the 95 gtx.
1993 gtx , believe is bad crank. Can't turn over by hand, start tries, but u can hear the winding like noice, sounds like crank bearing. I took off empeller. It's not attached.
So, hopefully someone knows if the 1993 cylinder and pistons will work for the 1995 one. because the head/ spark plug is different. Can I use the 1993 head, or due to different spark plug size, effect the brain box and spark ? Or stay with 1995 head ? Okay to ?
I'm assuming either rotary valve, or weak compression for reason won't start in water. I start, then get in water real quick and go out for 2 to 4 hours. I just don't shut it off. Till I solve issue.
