Restoring this old hunk of junk shes been through hell

Having trouble starting. took starter out and tested works fine. When i press the button it just clicks. I suspect i have some kind of issue with my ground but unsure. theres this clump of wires in my Electrical box that goes to ground that i think is the problem. does anyone know what it is? can anyone tell me what the black thing betweeen my fingers are?

has a aftermarket mpem that i think may be wired wrong still figuiring that out aswell. the weird thing is it just randomly wouldnt start, it also has a parasitic draw that i think may be related.

sort of unrelated, but my son had a jeep that would occasionally just click when he tried to start it. Two things we found, loose battery connection and a loose ground. Tightened the two up and the problem went away.

ordered new used impeller housing. Mines completely toast. Will be completely rebuilding that one. also ordered new carrier bearing and boots.

This blue 3m 5200 mixed with ultra black is such a pain in the ass to get off. I have had good luck with a brass brush pb blaster and some steel wool.

I think they are, I have 2 of these 92 XP’s one that’s all there, and one that will only be parts. Just following along here on your thread, maybe I will pick up a few pointers
I learned these fins are called the vanes. cavitation and debris can cause the damage to occur. Slightly damaged vanes are okay to use but badly damaged vanes can cause performance loss and cavitation.
