I bought stick on traction mats and have enough to do all the rub rail. Will it hold up with all that water pressure?

Black tip brand. Do I need to use more glue? Or just peel and stick

No it will not.
Even doing it with the good Weld Wood contact cement the water pressure will eventually pull it off. Cutting the bottom edge at a 45 degree angle flush with the fiberglass lip and a small bead of black RTV Silicone at the top can help a little.

Will I get a couple years if I use contact cement? If so what brand...I read days woodweld

Hard to say. It really only lasts on the freeride standups that don't go high speed.
Best contact cement is Dap Weld Wood in the red can.
