1991 SP to 1992 XP Gauges

Got a question that I hope someone out there can answer for me. I have a 1991 SP that I'm playing with. I want to install a 1992 XP hood with gauges on it. Will it be as simple as swapping the electric box from a 1992 XP (which I already have) for the 1991 box. I want to do this so I can have the tach and fuel/oil gauges working. Anybody out there done something like this before?

No need to cange the electrical box, they are the same... just hook up all the unused wires on the sp to the wire harness that you will have from the XP.

its prety basic. purple is switched 12 V brown is - pink and pink black go to the fuel baffle in the fuel tank, you will have to take that from the xp as well.

blue blue black are the oil sending unit you may have to take from the xp also.

and the tach. purple switched 12v brown ground i think it is grey.... goes to the MPEM same place as the xp MPEM . Grey if I remember right
