1990's SeaDoo GTX Jet Pump

I have a 1994 SeaDoo GTX 657cc that I am currently rebuilding. The jet pump unit appears to be in great condition (previously rebuilt?) so I have replaced to oil and pressure tested. My question is, inside the hull, I find only a rubber bellows and the pictured part, no carbon wear ring. Does the 1994 just use this to seal water between the shaft and the hull?

I am not familiar with the 94 models, but that part pictured is the old seal component which does not require a carbon ring.

Yes, yours uses the carrier bearing seal and straight hose. Not the bellows and carbon seal.

The carrier bearings work well, just be sure to keep it greased...
