New to ski repair here, helping a friend with her ski. Felt like it was starving for fuel so I started by cleaning the filter and it was not bad. Started right up and ran 15 seconds and died, I open up fuel filter and it was dry. Gas tank 3/4 full. Any ideas? Thanks,

fuel filter dry... check the sending unit, the filter at the bottom of the baffel may be really clogged, or not sending at all, furthermore does she have the notorious gray fuel lines???

Thanks, rookie here,am I pulling out the fuel tank or just pulling the top off with the four hoses? I tried regular position and reserve position , do they both pull from the same filter? I've been reading about the gray hose and caught a break I guess they are all black and seem in good shape

im pretty new to these too but a solid gear head... res pulls from the same tank but the bottom portion....yea the baffel has the four connected to it pull the lil glove box and the baffel will slide up and out if that aint it you may just have a clogged line between there and the filter!

cant be a "gtx" being a 1988, either look again ,ro someone switched the VIN plate. Either way, locate the "inline" fuel filter, white cylinder looking thing, and inspect the o-ring inside the cannister, probably done, for the reason, your tank is full but nothing in the filter...

Good call on the year,I found a registration for a 1994, the plate on the back of the boat was not the vin plate just some sort of info...Thanks guys!
