16 gti 155 help

My 16 gti will startup and run. Runs at idle for 5 minutes and then will shut down. I go to restart it and it acts like it doesn’t have any power. Battery is brandnew and verified voltage. I checked around for a loose ground and didn’t see one. I also disconnect the battery for a couple minutes and it will restart and follow the same process. It doesn’t go into limp mode or even a check engine light. Not sure where to begin besides dropping off at the dealer. Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like something is getting hot and then shutting down the ski, like the ECM. Also check for any stored codes on your MFD. When did the ski last run right and have you done anything mechanically since then like change the battery. I would have the battery load tested just in case.

Last ran right beginning of last season. I didn’t have any time to take someplace as my daughter is busy with sports. This year I figured I’d get going on it and put a new battery in it yesterday thinking it may be a voltage or ground issue. Ran for 5-min and then shut down. I did notice today that it sounded like it was building pressure in either the exhaust or motor and then you could hear it release. Took about 40 seconds from start of pressure build up to release. Noticed the motor would shake most right before the release. I don’t see a pcv on the motor or maybe I’m blind.

Update-
Went through the doo and found corrosion in the fuse box. Diamond filed the connections, changed all the fuses and the relay in the fuse box. It started up and ran 15min without an issue. Took to lake to test it under load and it didn’t make it off the trailer. Now I can only hear the relay in the fuse clicking when pressing the start button. No gauges or beeps. Nothing…
