09 155 gti se engine not starting water in exhaust

I have a gti 155 se with 20 hours on it. I took it out this weekend and once I turned it off it wouldnt kick over anymore... I could hear clicking from the front near the relays but nothing from the starter... i dissconected the battery and when I reattached it I was able to get it started but once I would turn it off again I would have to do it all over... eventually it had to be towed back to shore and I believe it got water in the exhaust now... Has anyone had any issues like this? Also any advice on how to fix the exhaust thanks...
