The other day, the RXT sucked up some weeds in the intake. Jumped off to unclog it and, by the time I was done it looked like it was sitting low in the water. Popped off the seat and the hull was half full of water and filling fast.

I panicked, hooked up some lines and towed it about a mile back to the EZ dock and muscled it out of the water. Drained out the water and put it back in the lake. Water was pouring in through the exhaust resonator (part 22 right where it connects to 20 http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/seadooforums/Seadoo_oem/Seadoo_PWC.asp?Type=13&A=151&B=12)

After a closer look it seems that the flange was melted or blown out somehow. replacing the part is no big deal but I'm concerned about what might have caused this to prevent it from happening again.

Any ideas?

Same thing for me.

Hello 8.20.11

Same thing happened to me.

Question? How hard was it to do yourself?
Did you have to take the top off?

Could you just reach in and proceed?

Thanks
