06 RXP key issue???

Yes a Key problem... Took it out for a spin, got thrown off.. now the fast key that I was useing won't work. But I put in the slow key "learner" Key and it fires right up. How is this possible?? Also Can I buy a key and use it w/out taking the ski to the dealer? Or does it need to be programmed. Is this a bulls*** thing for the key's or.. Thanks

Did you try cleaning the cap of the lanyard? In side is a ROM Chip, that if it does go bad it needs to be replaced and reprogrammed by a dealer.
