Check the seal, try to pull the bellows back... it should be very hard to pull it back from the stainless steel disk that's on the driveshaft. It may simply need to be tightened up. If it's too loose hard suction (from accelleration) will open it up and suck air into the pump.

If not that, I'd go ahead and pull the pump out and check the wear-ring and impeller for foreign objects (say, a rope either around the driveshaft or wound up thru the impeller) or excessive wear (grooves in wear ring, dings in impeller blades leading edges). This is all easy stuff to check, just pull it under a shade tree and get to it!

i may try to check the boot thing youre talking about.... where do i get to it? i know how to remove the seat and add antifreeze. thats about it. though i am quite mechanically inclined, maybe ill look tomorrow.

it has been in the water since april 4th. when i pull it out to get the fur off of it i will get under there and check the impeller and wear ring.

Uhhh, I don't know if I'd want to do that with it in the water. You might want to have it on a lift or trailer 1st. That bellows moves backwards, water will start pouring into the hull.

thanks. when i go to clean it i will do that. its not sinking right now, but it doesnt like to accelerate how it should.

What's top rpm now?

- Michael[/QUOTE]

I had it in the water today with some chop in the water and got 60 MPH at 6650rpm...not what I'm use to seeing.

Wow! Definitely nothing to do with the pump then. It's almost like your supercharger isn't producing proper boost pressure. When you checked your supercharger you said it doesn't spin freely but could you turn the air impeller inside it at all? It should be so stiff as to be almost impossible to turn by fingertips (takes me all my effort and I am just barely able to turn mine!). Go back and check that, and make sure the supercharger to carb hose is actually on also (mine was popping off the carb, causing me to loose almost all boost... I finally cleaned the inside of the hose with 409 Cleaner and wiped it with a dry cloth and put it back on and my last 2 outting's it's stayed put finally!).

If it's not your supercharger, you're going to have to take it to a dealership and get the electrical system diagnosed cause I have no other ideas... your numbers sound just like a non-supercharged SeaDoo.

Thanks for the tip...I ended up checking the sc and found that the two hoses were secure. When I tried to turn the impeller it didn't move (even with some good pressure). So it looks like its back to the dealer.

Yeah... sorry. :-(

It might be a fuel delivery problem holding it back, idk. Hopefully the dealership can figure this one out.

- Michael

The last dealer did check the fuel pressure and found a minor amount of drop in pressure at top end. They replaced the fuel filter and didn't find anything else wrong.

So far, I've had two different dealers look at it and neither one can figure out what the problem is. The last dealer even consulted BRP and nothing came out of it. They also had the BUDS on it and didn't have any error codes appear.

After this was done my acceleration was back and launches you from the line again.

So...the hole shot is fine...but you've lost the top end? still?

So...zero cavitation.

If you get the ski outa the water...wave/wake jumping action ect...can you get the r's higher? Try it, lemme know if you can/can't. you oughta be able to hit the limiter or close w/o a load on the motor.

Checked the oil lvl I'm sure...know from a trusted source that the sc was rebuilt properly to the correct slip? Hose from sc to tb was secure...not cracked?

Lastly...congrats on purchasing the finest looking 3 seater ever built.

When the Supercharger was rebuilt, did they use an OEM kit or a rebuild kit from SBT? We found the SBT kit caused issues, similar to what you are experiencing. After we installed an OEM rebuild kit, our ski picked up another 8 mph +/-

Also, do you hear whining coming from your S/C or does it sound normal (smooth)..? We found the SBT kit caused the S/C to whine excessively, with a "Zing", on throttle up. This will be a dead give away that they used an aftermarket kit, when it was rebuilt.
